Fun & Stylish Ways to Celebrate Valentines with Your Kids
We never need an excuse to celebrate love for, and with, our kids. But Valentines is a fab time to go all out and make a fuss over family and friendships. Here’s how to do this Valentines in style, while having lots of fun with your little Hotdogs:
Quick and easy Valentines Crafts
Gift cards - Encourage mark making with your preschoolers and help your older kids make love notes for their friends with these easy pop-out heart Valentines cards.
Hugs and kisses garland - Who said paper chains were just for Christmas? Make a x-o-x-o garland by cutting out naught and crosses and having your kids help you stick them together with glue or tape.
DIY XOXO table cloth - We love the look of this simple and modern valentine’s tablecloth in monochrome. All you need to do is grab a white tablecloth and black paint or a sharpie. (via PopSugar)
DIY heart details - Add a touch of playful romance to anywhere in your house with these sweet hanging paper hearts. Hang on picture frame corners, over plants, doorknobs - anywhere. You could cut and fold some while you’re watching Netflix and surprise your kids with an explosion of hearts or get them involved!

Family fun outdoors this Valentines
Valentines rock painting - Rock painting is a fun and mindful activity anytime of the year. Give it a go with these simple heart stones. Add messages of love you that your kids can hide around nearby parks/forest/walks for others to find and enjoy. Via The Inspiration Edit
Outdoor valentine scavenger hunts - Get them running about with a valentine’s scavenger hunt. Hide little love notes outdoors with clues on where to find the next one and have them find them as quickly as possible!
Heart spotting in nature - For a mindful twist to your Valentines walk, challenge your Hotdogs to find as many hearts in nature as possible. Where will you find them? Dried leaves, twists in bark, shaped sticks... To extend the activity, take a photo of each one so you can enjoy looking back together later.

Plus, don’t forget to just declare your love this Valentines! Telling people how and why you care is the simplest way to make your love known. How about getting each member of the family to write down on reason they love the others? Write these down on a piece of paper they can keep as a lovely reminder of why they’re special.
