Looking for some October Half-Term fun?

Look no further!

It feels as though we're only just getting back into the school routine, but with half-term just around the corner it's time to get your Little Hotdog Watson hats out and seek out your next family outdoor adventure! Give these activities a try...

1. Pumpkin Picking! 🎃

What's better than getting in the Halloween spirit and going pumpkin picking? Visit an outdoor pumpkin patch and let the little ones wander whilst looking at all the different shapes, sizes and colours of the pumpkins! When you get home why not have a go at carving some fun designs with the kids? Or you can even paint the pumpkins!

2. Autumnal Walk 🍁

Head outdoors for a walk! Autumn is the perfect season for a range of adventures, as there's so much to see and reflect on. You can collect a range of items such as conkers, leaves and pinecones and take them home to craft with! Or why not let the kids lead the way? Take some hot chocolate with you, a perfect way to keep the little ones energy up!

So grab your LHW hat, wrap up warm and head outdoors this October Half-Term.

3. Scavenger Hunt 🍃

Head off on a walk in search of some items! Let the kids come up with their own checklist of things to find based on what kind of walk you're taking. You can add things such as a bird, different types of leaves, the possibilities are endless! See who can find all the items the quickest and pair off into teams!

4. Go to a Farm 🐽

Farms are a great day out, whatever the weather and are great from visiting time and time again. Encourage your kids to do their best animal noises at the local farm or get close and cuddly with some little furry friends including rabbits and guinea pigs! You might even be able to help feed the animals, depending on which farm you go to. It's a great day for the whole family!

Match your hat to your favourite animal! From Panda Prints to Snow Leopards, we've got lots to choose from...

5. Visit a Theme Park 🎢

Theme Parks aren't just for the Summer holidays! Test the kids bravery on thrill rides, whilst there are often other areas specifically designed for the littler ones, promising lots of FUN for the whole family! A lot of Theme Parks in October often have Halloween-y events on also.
