Dress up in STYLE 🧹

Both High Street and independent stores have done a fantastic job at embracing the Halloween season this year – there are so many amazing costumes and spookily inspired designs!

WHY NOT DIY? Always work with what you've got. Take the clothes your little ones already own as inspiration for a cute, easy DIY costume; without buying outfits you might not use again.

TOP TIP: buying items like headpieces and capes mean that the items can be re-worn year after year as little ones grow, and passed down to siblings or other friends or family. You'd be surprised how much wear one witches hat can get!

Go on an adventure! 🍂

Halloween season and Autumn are the perfect opportunity for getting out in the fresh air, and enjoying the way that nature changes with the seasons. Going on a hunt for conkers, pine cones and blackberries are a great excuse to go exploring.

Get Crafty! 🖌️

Have a fang-tastic time doing some Halloween crafts with your children. Why not create a pumpkin apple stamp?

All you need is:

  • Apples
  • Orange, Green and Black Paint.
  • Paint Brushes
  • White Paper.

Instructions:

  • Cut your apples in half
  • Dip the inside of the apple in orange paint and stamp it on the white paper.
  • Paint a leaf and stem on the top of your pumpkins using green paint.
  • Finally paint on a spooky face using the black paint.

Your apple stamps are ready!

Visit a Pumpkin Patch 🎃

Visit a Pumpkin Patch! Pumpkin Patches have become ubiquitous with the lead up to Halloween fun, and are a fab family day out with plenty of fresh air! Many pumpkin patches now offer a wealth of activities for little ones, like pumpkin decorating, mazes, and sweet treats! It's also, of course, a lovely photo opportunity to take a snap of you and your loved ones.

Don't forget to take your LHW hat.

Paint Pumpkins 🎨

Don't like spooky? Get painting instead! If your children aren’t fans of spooky stuff there’s still lots you can do to embrace this season.

Painting Pumpkins has became very popular this year so unleash yours and your little ones artistic side and get the paint brushes out!
