I Need This – SnuzPod 3
Picking the right crib is such a huge decision. Do you go moses basket, attachable co-sleeper, full size cot? I fell in love with the SnuzPod because it’s long yet still cosy, we struggled to fit H comfortably into a traditional bassinet and want something that’s nice and roomy for Little Hotdog number 2. The SnuzPod 3 bassinet is 20% bigger yet 30% lighter than the previous Snuz designs and can be lifted on and off its stand to move about the house. It also features a reflux incline which could well be a sanity saver.
The SnuzPod 3 also has a zip down side so it can be popped right alongside your bed and easily opened up to become a co-sleeper and make night feeding much easier. There are also 9 height settings and it can be safely attached to both divan and framed beds. There’s underneath storage space and the stand is rockable. So much to love!! It’s one of the only cribs to receive the prestigious ‘Queen’s Award’ too.
The most beneficial thing we have found using it so far is the reflux tilt. With previous cots we had tried to re-create this ourselves with books and props. This can be set up to stay permanently tilted meaning even post feed it helps with settling and indigestion.
The cot is definitely pricier than a moses basket or other versions at £199 + BUT I think the price for the quality is justified. It also comes in several colours to fit with your nursery and this itself makes it feel a little more special
The negative thing is that the sheets are quite expensive especially when you consider you would want to get a mattress protector cover. However we have found that Mothercare basic cotton sheets do fit and you can use any blanket / gro bag. We do have the Snuz Pod blankets too and the quality is nice but not any better than any of the other big brands. In short, the cot is a good investment but the bedding you can find similar.
You can buy online from Snuzpod and for bedding don't forget to check out independent brand Mama Designs their sleep sacs are fab.

Also don't forget new babies need extra protection from the sun and the cold. Little Hotdog Watson sun hats are protective to UV factor 50+ and winter hats protect little ears. Starting from sizes 0-6months.
